Banana Clicker

We have been making scratch games. I made a scratch game with Jack R. It is called Banana Clicker. It is a game where you have to click a banana. Each time you click a banana you get 1 more score. With your scores, you can get better bananas and auto bananas. We are still working on the game so it is not finished. I like scratch. We do scratch because it teaches us how to become problem solvers. Also, it teaches us how to code and things like Problem Solving or Debugging.  Sometimes if feels frustrating to have problems you can solve but eventually we work them out.
Have you ever used scratch?

Emily Carr

We have been learning to paint like Emily Carr with Mrs Swinburn. Emily liked to paint trees. She was born on 13 December 1871 and died on 2 March 1945. She had a technique where she did swirls. For our latest art, we had a piece of paper and sponged it with two colours. I chose yellow and orange. Then we sketched on a goose paper how we were going to do our trees. Mrs. Swinburn put the piece of sponged paper on a white piece of paper. Next, we got the piece of paper that we sponged and drew the sketch with black paint. After that she put the paper on a black piece of paper, then we signed out names initials. Then we were done.

Did you know about Emily Carr?

Fake News

Last week we were learning about how to identify fake websites. Like the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus. This is fake, obviously. We learned how to know if these are fake or not. One of the techniques is to see if it’s a joke. It might be too outlandish, which means it’s obvious. Also, you can check the sources, do they match the story? I really liked learning about how to identify fake websites. Now I know how to identify fake websites. Do you know any fake websites?
