Tramping Limericks

(Go to slide 8)      These are some limericks that we had to do for writing. To make a limerick the 1st 2nd and 5th lines have to rhyme. They also have to have 3rd and 4th one to rhyme. As well you have to have five lines in the limerick. This is a copy of the slide so expect extra slides.
What would you do for a limerick?

  1. Hi Theo, Limmericks are fun. I love the one about the clown. Have you been inspired to write some more? What subject would you choose?

  2. Kia ora Theo,
Ka pai on creating so many limerick poems! I really like the way your poems were based around camping, yet each and every one was different in it’s own way.
I specifically liked the limerick you wrote on the thirteenth slide. It was very funny to read about how the ramp broke, and I am so impressed with how you managed to follow a storyline and rhyme at the same time!
In this poem, you mentioned how you decided to make a ramp.
Have you ever made a ramp before in real life?
If so, when did you make it and what materials did you use?
On your eleventh slide, you wrote a limerick about a scary clown. I think it is awesome how you included an image of a clown for reference, and know that if I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that clown I would get a fright as well!
Did you enjoy creating these limerick poems?
What part of making these did you find the hardest?
Have you made any more since you posted this blogpost?
    Keep up the fantastic work!
    Nga mihi
